Crossing 50 films is no mean feat in the
industry where competition is rife and new
stars are launched almost every month. But
our veterans had no difficulties in achieving
the feat in those days. But then, that is
probably why we call them veterans. Here,
we take a look at the new age stars, who have
successfully crossed the 50th film mark and
hoping for the ubiquitous 100.
Ajith has had a super successful 50 recently
with his anti-hero gambling movie Mankatha.
His road to 50 was, however not strewn with
roses but often with rocks and thorns.
Vijay's 50th was Sura. Although he might
not want to think about what Sura did to his
career, his releases after Sura are being
termed as profitable ventures.
Parthiban, who quite often takes the offbeat
path and goes on a sabbatical for a few years,
is back with his 50th movie. He sprouts up
often with roles like the one in Aayirathil
Oruvan and reaps some accolades. Titled Vithagan,
his 50th movie is due for release soon.
