Director
Mysskin needs no introduction. In his short
career in Kollywood, he has proved to be an
astute film-maker. With two films to his credit,
Mysskin weaved practicality with imagination
to wow the audience. An avid book reader, he
ensures that the movie he makes is hard-hitting
and makes an impact on the viewer. We would
see a few interesting facts about Mysskin in
this week's trivia.
• Mysskin's real name is Raja. He changed
his name to Mysskin after being mightily impressed
with the character Prince Lev Nikolayevich Myshkin
from a Russian Novel.
• It is a no surprise that he has a collection
of thousands of books, which include novels
and biographies, in his house.
• He insists that his assistant directors
must have knowledge about books and novels as
he feels that the subtle emotions in human characters
are best described in novels.
• He is regarded as one of the greatest
script-writers by critics already in his two-film
career.
• Mysskin and even numbers seem to have
a bond. His two earlier movies, Chithiram Pesuthadi
and Anjathey, were released in 2006 and 2008
respectively. His next movie, though completed
a long time back, is getting released in 2010.
• He is making a movie in Bollywood with
John Abhraham which is also an inspiration from
a novel 'The Man from Pakistan'. This is touted
to be a thriller and is shaping up at a rapid
pace.
With his movie releasing this weekend, all eyes
are on Mysskin and Nandalala.
