P Suseela Trust was instituted in an
effort to offer pension to deserving singers
and to encourage the art of singing. Every
year, the trust organizes a music show
to collect money to continue its philanthropic
activities.
Further, a popular singer will be chosen
every year for an award and S Janaki and
SP Balasubramaniam have received the awards
for the past two years. This year, KJ
Yesudas has been selected for this honor.
PB Srinivas has been selected for the
Lifetime Achievement Award.
The music show ‘Sigarangalin Sangamam’
will be held at the Nehru Indoor Stadium.
