Uthama
Puthiran has been produced by Mohan Apparao
and is getting released with three other films
this Diwali. Since the music of the movie has
struck the right chord with the audience, the
expectation meter has definitely risen. The
director has already clarified that the title
is the only similarity between this movie and
the 1958 Sivaji & Padmini starrer.
This will be the first time music director Vijay
Antony has scored music for a Dhanush movie.
When Dhanush was bemused with the phrase 'Ussumu
Laresay', as he didn't know the meaning of it,
Vijay Antony assured Dhanush that the song will
be a hit. And so it has by topping the charts!
Vivek will be joining hands with Dhanush for
the second time in his career. Vivek, who was
initially hesitant to take up the role, accepted
it after two rounds of persuasion by Dhanush.
It is rumored that Vivek does not have any dialogues
in the movie. The duo delivered a mass-hit in
Padikathavan the previous time.
This is director Mithran Jawahar's third movie
of his career. This is also the third time he
has associated himself with Dhanush. To add
to the facts, all three of his movies, including
Uthama Puthiran, are Telugu remakes. UP is a
remake of the Telugu film Ready.
There is a huge supporting cast in this movie.
As many as 24 notable actors have done supporting
roles. The cast include K Bhagyaraj, Vivek,
Karunas, Srinath, R Sundarrajan, Mayilsamy,
Jayaprakash, Uma Padmanabhan and many more.
The caravans of all celebrities in one place
were a delight to watch, say sources.
The censor board has given a 'U' certificate
for Uthama Puthiran. It is time to say U for
Uthama Puthiran!
