Tamil cinema exemplified its solidarity
yet again in the case of the internally
displaced Sri Lankan Tamils. A collection
of poems, penned by the creative
brains of Tamil cinema was released
on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at
the Don Bosco School, Egmore, Chennai.
The pensive poems are evocative
of the plights of the Tamils and
were written by stars including
Kamal, Sathyaraj, Suriya, Sivakumar,
A R Rahman, Prakashraj, Bala, Ameer,
Cheran, Lingusamy, K V Anand, Balaji
Sakthivel, Mysskin, A R Murugadoss,
Vasanth, Vairamuthu, Ingulab, Tamarai,
Pa. Vijay, Kapilan, Arivumathi,
Metha, Na. Muthkumar and Tamilachi
Thangapandiyan.
Titled Eezham - Mounathin Vali,
the collection has works of 100
celebrities. This book of poems
will be available across the leading
book stores.
