The audio launch of Aval Peyar
Thamizharasi took place under the
auspices of directors Thangar Bachan
and Mahendran at the Santham Theatre
in Chennai today (November 2nd 2009).
The audio was launched by Balu Mahendra
and Sun TV’s Hans Raj Saxena
received the first copy. Those present
at the event include Vijay Anthony,
director Perarasu, Sasi Kumar, Ameer,
Abhirami Ramanathan, Pandiraj, Venkat
Prabhu, Mysskin and actors Parthiban
and Bharath.
Speaking at the event, director
Mysskin said that when a cameraman
and four of his director buddies
were in a booze party, their discussion
inevitably shifted to Subramaniapuram,
the film directed by Sasi Kumar.
All the others in the party opined
that the climax scene, which did
not show the murder of the baddie
explicitly, had the movie goers
cheated. But when he saw the movie
later, Mysskin said that he felt
that it was filmed just the way
he would have done it.
While on his turn to address the
gathering, Thangar Bachan said that
the movies these days do not concentrate
on social or political issues but
portray highly objectionable scenes
like boozing.
Ameer rued that when people are
called upon to address an audio
launch function they do not talk
about the film’s audio but
instead use the platform for venting
out what’s on their mind.
