Though
the film titled Poo is gearing up
for release on November 28th, a new
dispute seems to have dampened the
unit’s spirit. A petition has
been filed at the City Civil Court
in Chennai over the title rights by
Swaminatha Siththar. According to
the petitioner, he had registered
the title Poo a long time ago and
had also filmed about three songs
and a few
scenes of the film. He stated that he was
shocked to find an advertisement in the paper
that a film of the same title, Poo, is ready
to hit the theatres on 28th November.
Swaminatha Siththar claimed that the producers
P.R. Saraswathi and Dhanenjayan had misused
the titled without obtaining permission from
him. On hearing the plea, the magistrate at
the city civil court ordered for an explanation
from the producers.
