Trisha and Ilayaraja honored

The prestigious Nandi awards presented by the Andhra Pradesh Government every year to honor the film personalities was handed over to the winners on Sunday, November 16th, 2008. The best actress award for the year 2005 went to Trisha for her performance in the film Nuvvu Vosthanante Nenu Vodhantana. Maestro Ilayaraja received the Golden

Nandi for the best music director in the year 2004. Singers S.P. Balasubramaniam and Jesudas were selected as the best singers for the year 2005 and 2006 respectively. Genelia was selected for the special Nandi award for the year 2006. The 2006 best actor and best actress awards were bagged by Nagarjuna and Nanditha Das respectively.
