Also present to cheer them were Bala, Bhagyaraj,
Balu Mahendra, Selvamani, Vetrimaran, Cheran,
Kanja Karuppu, and many others from the
industry. As they left the jail in a car,
a band went ahead of them, celebrating and
announcing the release of Ameer and Seeman.
It was clear, of course, that they cannot
leave Madurai until their hearing comes
up, but until then they are free to be in
Madurai. From the jail they were taken to
a theatre where the celebrations continued.
It is inspring to see the film fraternity
show such solidarity and support.
