The audio and trailer
of Ochayee directed by newcomer Aasai Thambi
was released. This film set in the backdrop
of Madurai has many newcomers in its cast.
The audio was released by Kalaipuli Thanu
and received by V C Guhanathan. The event
was attended by Kalaipuli Thanu, Sekaran,
V C Guhanathan, P L Thenappan, actor Rajesh
and the crew members.
Three songs were screened on the occasion.
Ochayee is all about the rich vibrant culture
and traditions of the villages around Madurai
area which the songs seemed to portray. Music
of Ochayee is scored by Jeeva Raja and lyrics
are penned by Snehan. When Kalaipuli Thanu
spoke on the occasion, he said, “The
songs of Ochayee remind me a lot of Ilayaraja's
music and the film gives me the feel of Bharathi
Raja's works" He also added that the
lyrics are very clear.
