The count down for the World Classical Tamil
Conference to be held at Coimbatore in June
2010 has begun and the glitterati from Kollywood
and the politicians from Tamil Nadu are working
over time to make the event a grand success.
The Tamil invocation song for the conference
was composed by A R Rahman who has made more
than sixty singers lend their voice to his tune.
The singers belong to all types of music from
carnatic to rap to light classical and the list
includes the legendary T M Soundarrajan, P.Suseela,
Srinivas, Hariharan, Harini, Benny Dayal, Vijay
Yesudas, Naresh Iyer, G V Prakash to name a
few. The song was directed by Gautham Vasudev
Menon who found it an extremely enriching experience
working for the same. The anthem was formally
launched on saturday. |
