Naam
is a foundation that has Suhasini Mani Ratnam
and Mani Ratnam as its trustees. The foundation
celebrated the empowerment of 83 single women
today 10th May 2010 at the BEFI Hall, 27, VV
Kovil Street, Teynampet.
Both Suhasini and Mani Ratnam were present at
the venue. When reporters questioned about Raavan’s
premier in IIFA to be held in Sri Lanka this
year, the director said that his film is not
yet ready to be premiered and he has no intention
to attend the event and the question therefore
does not arise.
To yet another query, Raavan’s leading
lady Aishwarya Rai Bachchan making her presence
at the IIFA, Mani replied that it is her personal
decision and has nothing to do with his film.
The director cut short his interaction with
the media persons when questioned about the
IIFA and sped off in his car. |
