Director Mysskin’s judgment about the
hero of Yudham Sei has been questioned several
times. Since the role is that of a police officer,
many have questioned Mysskin on why he chose
Cheran to essay that role. To this, the director
replied that in reality not all policemen have
a six-pack, so it does not matter if his lead
star does not possess one. Mysskin reiterated
that Cheran is the apt choice for the role.

Ippadiku Rose-fame Rose, who was a transgender,
has bagged a very meaty role in the film.
