With the impending Nadigar Sangam
elections, the question that looms
large in the minds of all its members
is whether the present president,
Sarath Kumar will continue to hold
the mantle. While there are reports
that Sarath is unwilling to contest
the elections, as he is busy with
his political party and film commitments,
a large section of the members feel
that Sarath’s continuance
as the president is important particularly
with the new building for the Sangam
being constructed.
The General Body meeting of the
Nadigar Sangam is slated to be held
on May 24th, 2009 to decide on this
issue. It is worth mentioning here
that Sarath Kumar held the president
post for two consecutive terms.
The elections are generally held
once in three years.
