It had been reported a few weeks
back that the Bharath-Tamannah starrer
Kandein Kadhalai (remake of Hindi
superhit Jab We Met) was being shot
in and around Pollachi. A tree house
had been built atop one of the trees
in which a few scenes involving
the lead pair were shot. When the
crew prepared to dismantle the set,
forest officials had requested them
to leave it intact because they
felt that it would be an added attraction
for tourists. However, the life
span of this shelter seems to be
very short. It has been reported
that many tourists who visited the
spot clambered onto the tree house
and this repeated usage has left
it in a poor condition. It is now
a bit shaky and can fall off any
time from its perch. Upon hearing
this director Kannan has squarely
landed the blame on forest officials
for not taking proper care of the
structure. They have also decided
to remove the structure soon. The
tree house was erected by art director
Rambon at a cost of Rs. 3 lakhs.
So much for a tree house where love
had bloomed just a few weeks back!
