The audio and trailer release function
of Achchamundu Achchamundu was held
today morning at the Sathyam complex
in Chennai. The audio CD was released
by chief guests Balu Mahendra and
Resul Pookutty, which was received
by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Bavatharini.
The trailer was released by Balu
Mahendra and received by Venkat
Prabhu and Nasser. The album has
songs tuned by Karthik Raja, the
elder brother of Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Speaking at the function, director
Arun Vaidyanathan said that the
movie would be a thriller with a
difference. There won’t be
much noise, hue or cry, but the
audience will be gripped by the
proceedings. In fact, silence will
be the most profound element in
the movie. There are about 45 minutes
totally devoid of any background
score, he added.
Arun also said that the movie has
been made in a style suited for
the global audience, much like Iranian
and other such films that are appreciated
worldwide. When questioned about
the reason for the film being withheld
from theaters and being sent to
film festivals, he said that in
many countries it was mandatory
that a film be entered for a festival
before its commercial release. Arun
added that he thought the recognition
would help Achchamundu Achchamundu
get some additional mileage. It
has already won an award in USA.
The movie is being touted as the
first Tamil film to use the Red
One camera. The director said that
this would enable the film to be
enjoyed by all sections of the audience.
Achchamundu Achchamundu stars Prasanna
and Sneha in the lead and is getting
ready for a June release.
