Kamal’s time for Ilayaraja

Isaignani Ilayaraja's has not only scored the music for Azhagar Malai, but has also featured in one of the songs. The song was picturised in some of the favorite locations of Ilayaraja including Ramanashram at Thiruvannamalai and his mother's memorial at Pannaipuram. The entire film is shot in some of the exotic locales in and around Madurai.

The film’s audio was released on Saturday without much fanfare in Kamal Haasan’s office in Alwarpet. The Ulaga Nayagan himself released the audio on Saturday (May 2nd 2009). Those present during the event were Azhagar Malai’s hero RK, film’s director S.P. Raj Kumar and producer Lakshmana Moorthy.
