"I liked it only in Billa"

Kollywood is constantly evolving with new and novel changes from screen play to presentation to music. In the recent times, remix of old hit songs have taken the stage by storm and almost in all films there is at least one number which has been remixed. This trend has received mixed response from people. While some of them especially

the younger brood welcomed it, the older generation scoffed at it.

While talking about remix songs, renowned music composer Bharathwaj had this to say, "Though I am personally against remixing old songs, I liked what they did in Billa as in that case the old film itself was remade and it was only right to remix the songs as well. But now in many films they are using the song from an old film in a new current day story, which is very discordant. This does not any way speak well about the music composer". To a question on whether he would remix songs in his films, Bharathwaj said that he would try to avoid it but in the event of director or producer pressing for the same, he would heed to their request.
