International recognition for Sivamani

Drums Sivamani- that’s what we call him and we believe that he is the best drummer in the world and now that has official recognition. Zildjian, the world’s oldest drum manufacturing firm has a time honored tradition, that of affixing the autograph of one world renowned drummer every year on each of stick that they produce.

For the year 2008, they have chosen Sivamani for the honor. This is certainly a proud moment for Sivamani and all of us because this in a way puts him in the hall of fame of the world’s greatest drummers of all time. Zildjian has a tradition of 400 years and any recognition from a firm of such repute is definitely worth celebration. For Sivamani, this is the apt reward for years of non-stop dedication behind the drums. Drumming would have been much poorer and underappreciated in India but for Sivamani and his inimitable style.
