Saroja team’s gratitude to Kajal

As opposed to the shoestring budget Chennai 28 was made in, Venkat Prabhu’s Saroja will have grandeur written all over it. With the stellar cast that includes the likes of veterans Jayaram and Prakasraj, Saroja has retained most of its Chennai 28 members. The crew is recently back from Singapore after filming a song at the St. James Power Station discotheque.

Speaking to a tabloid recently, director Venkat Prabhu mentioned that Shiva plays a TV star in the movie and his engagement song will hence feature the who is who of the television industry. More than 30 TV stars make a cameo for the song prominent of them being Radhika and Ranjitha.

Kajal Agarwal plays the lead and has only a few minutes of screen presence, however. “We really appreciate her gesture and hence as a token of our gratitude, we would have the movie open with scenes involving her,” Venkat Prabhu added.
