“I only reiterated Rajinikanth,” says Divya!

She received enough brickbats for having present at the protests organized by the Kannada Film Association to voice their concern against Tamil Nadu in the Hogenekkal issue. Despite having been invited for the Tamil Nadu faction’s protests, she failed to attend the same in Chennai thereby inviting considerations for a possible ban from Tamil movies.

Now that the issue is left to rest in peace, the actress has come out in the open and discussed about it in an interview to a tabloid recently. “People only focus on the fact that I attended the protests held in Karnataka and not what I spoke on the occasion,” Divya said. “I reiterated Rajini Sir’s statement about how there should not be any falling-out between the two states for any reason whatsoever and that we should iron out the differences by peaceful talks,” Divya was further quoted as saying.

Her Vaaranam Aayiram is gearing up for a Censor certification and is expected to hit the screens in August.
