Vadivelu assaulted!

Two important and hilarious comedy sequences from Rajini’s Kuselan was completed today with Vadivelu. The set-up is this: Rajini, the superstar has come to shoot a scene in Vadivelu’s village. Vadivelu plays a character who has been dying to get a glimpse of the Superstar. He decides that he will go to any length to see Rajini in action. Someone tips

him off that beyond a wall within which the film crew is shooting, he can surely find Rajini. But the wall is high. How to climb it?

Vadivelu remembers how it is done in many martial arts movies, and gets the idea that he can use a pole and vault himself over the wall. He pole vaults and… the wall, which was a set, is suddenly removed by the crew. He lands right in the center of what seems to be a fight sequence where the crew is waiting for an actor to land from wall to thrash him. And of course, Vadivelu is soundly beaten.

In another scene, Vadivelu gets another tip: that Rajini is his dressing room. Vadivelu stealthily makes his way into the room, and discovers it is Nayanthara’s dressing room. The assistant directors in the room beat him black and blue.
