The school wore a festive look and was festooned
for the shoots that had Rajini playing the
chief guest for a school function. This
scene is said to be the superstar’s
(Rajini plays himself in the movie) opening
scene in the movie where he bumps into his
school friend, the now ‘Barber Balan’
played by Pasupathy. The scene shot yesterday
also had Meena (who plays Pasupathy’s
wife), Vadivelu and Livingston.
As a part of the shooting arrangements,
posters and hoardings were arranged across
the road welcoming the superstar for the
school event. This sparked interest among
the villagers and they gathered in huge
numbers to catch a glimpse of Rajinikanth.
The superstar, on his part, seemed obliged
when he downed his car windows and waved
at his admirers.
