Shriya Saran had filed a complaint against producer Pandian who was planning to dub and release her Malayalam film, Pokkiri Raja with Mammooty and Prithviraj in Tamil. The actress said that he had violated an agreement according to which she would receive renumeration in case the film was to be dubbed and so far the producer had not paid her.
Pandian spoke to her and her family personally explaining that he had purchased the dubbing rights but the agreement she had made was with the original producer in Malayalam and therefore he should not be held responsible for the violation. He added that any delay in releasing the film would incur heavy losses for him. Shriya relented and decided to leave him off the hook and Pandian is a grateful man.
