Dr.
KCG Verghese Film Festival Impact 2k10 organized
by the Hindustan Arts and Science College took
place at the university campus amidst much fanfare.
The chief guest for the event was actor and
politician Sarathkumar. Speaking at the function,
Sarath urged the students to concentrate on
electronic media and visual communications courses
as the film industry is expected to reach 65,000
crores by 2020.
A press note from the university states that
“About 120 entries comprising of short
films, documentaries and advertising commercial
films were screened at the 2-day festival.”
The winners of Short Film, Ad Films, and Documentary
were chosen by a jury and presented with cash
awards. |
