Assistant
directors will henceforth be paid their monthly
salaries through the Director’s Council,
states a press release from the Tami Nadu government.
This new scheme came into effect yesterday with
the Directors’ Council representatives,
Bharathi Raja, RK Selvamani, Vikraman, Ameer,
P Vasu, Madhesh and others meeting the CM M
Karunanidhi.
Several assistant directors who have worked
with Suraaj, Shanmuga Sundaram, A Venkatesh
and others received the first pay cheque from
the CM.
It is important to note here that so far the
assistant directors did not have a fixed salary
and they were paid by the producers and directors
directly. Through this new scheme, the assistant
directors’ pay has been channelized. |
