Vaigai’s inspiration

Audio release of the upcoming movie Vaigai was held yesterday, March 26, 2009 at Hotel Green Park, Chennai at 6.00 p.m. The movie’s trailer was officially launched in the event and three songs from the album were screened. First copy of the album was released by producer Rama Narayanan and received by Namitha and director Raja. M.K Tamilarasu was the special guest on the occasion.

Vaigai’s lead is the last season winner of the dance

show Maanada Mayilada. Debutant Visaka plays the female lead. Vaigai is set in the backdrop of Madurai and hence titled after the river flowing through the city. Sabesh–Murali scores for the album that has songs heavily inspired from Ilayaraja’s numbers.
