Swathi’s fame could help Subramaniapuram

Subramaniapuram, the smash hit Tamil film, is being dubbed in Telugu following the astounding success of the Swathi-starrer Ashta Chamma. The makers of Subramaniapuram felt that the essence of the original version cannot be brought back in the Telugu version if it were to be remade and hence decided to proceed with the dubbing.

Subramaniapuram has been named Anantapuram 1980 in Telugu. Along with Swathi, the film had

director Sasi Kumar, Jai, Ganja Karuppu and director Samudrakani. The film is expected to cash in on Swathi’s huge fan following.
