Will ‘Triple V’ work for Captain

The audio release function of the movie “Mariyadhai” starring Vijayakanth, Meera Jasmine, Meena and Ambika started around 7.30 p.m today at the St. George school in Chetpet amidst huge support, most of which comprised of Vijayakanth’s party workers. The function started with a prayer song followed by the Thamizhthai Vazhthu. The stage compère spoke about the success of the V-combination, Vijayakanth and Vikraman. Adding to this is Vijay Antony making it

a Triple V combination. Cultural programmes were organized, the movie’s trailer and a song were screened.

Dignitaries were called on the dais for the function. A flower bouquet was presented to Vijayakanth by Raj TV director Rajendran. Some of the notable persons present on the stage were producer Murali, director Vikraman, Khaja Mohideen, Siva Sakthi Pandian, G.Sekar, directors Selvamani and Venkat Prabhu, music director Vijay Antony, actress Ambika, actor Ramesh Khanna, Editor Mohan, Sampath and lyricist Pulamai Pithani.

The audio CD was released by Vijayakanth and was received by Raj TV directors. Various personalities praised the captain and some called him the future head of the state too. Constraining his speech due to election rules that the function should be over by 10 p.m, Captain appreciated the efforts taken by the producer T.Siva of Amma creations for adjusting his call sheet according to the Thirumangalam election campaign. The actor assured that the movie will be released on April 10th. He also assured that these songs will be the future ring tone on the cell phones.
