Shruti in Thalaivan Irukkiran

Although no official announcements have been made so far about Thalaivan Irukkiran, Kamal’s remake of the Hindi blockbuster ‘A Wednesday’, speculations do not seem to end on the topic. Latest in the series is that Shruti Haasan is being considered for the background score of the movie. Grapevine also has it that Shruti, who stretched her vocal chords for Vaaranam Aayiram recently, will render vocals for the theme music of the movie.

Kamal Haasan recently bought the rights of ‘A Wednesday’ from UTV Motion Pictures and gave it the working title of Thalaivan Irukkiran. He is said to have roped in Chakri, an ad film-maker based in the US to direct the movie that also has Mohanlal. Originally starring Nasirudeen Shah and Anupam Kher in compelling roles, the movie was also critically acclaimed owing to their riveting performances.
