“Heroes should cut down their salary”

The audio launch of Naal Natchathiram was held at the Devi Sri Devi preview theatre in Chennai. This film is full of newcomers from the director to artists. The launch function witnessed the presence of producer C Nagarajan and Subbulakshmi along with debutant director Shakthi. The film’s hero Sanjay and villain Iyappan Gopi were also present. The chief guest of the event was director Perarasu.

sounded very happy to be part of the crew of Naal Natchathiram. While talking about director Shakthi, she said that she had a good time during the shooting of the film especially at Sankaran koil which happens to be the native place of the director. On the small budget films, the veteran artist said that there is an emerging trend in Kollywood where good low budget films are being made with the native flavor intact. On the salary of Kollywood heroes, Achi stated, “The population of Tamil Nadu itself is 6 crore and some of the heroes charge as high as 15 crores. Heroes should reduce their salary. That is when the industry will flourish.”
