There would be enough reason to miss her movies, however, her songs tagged along after her and made her a household name of sorts. Karthika, better recognized for the Karuvapaiya song for Thuthukudi and Ulaga Azhagi song for Pirappu is all smiles in approval when the question is raised. She also predicts the Ennadi Senja song for her upcoming Raaman Thediya Seetha will be a chartbuster.

The Pirappu girl says she is happy with the way her career is shaping up. With 'Jawahar Pattalam', '365 Kaathal Kadithangal', 'Alaiyodu Vilaiyadu' and 'Machaan' in her kitty, Karthika has no time for movies from other languages. "I want to firm my roots in Tamil and prove my potential," she asserts. "May be then I will consider other language projects", she adds as an afterthought.
