Rajini extols Vijay’s mom

If Vijay is an established actor, his mother is no less – in her own sphere of activities. She is a noted singer and has many film and devotional songs to her credit. She trained under Maharajapuram Santhanam, a veteran Carnatic musician.

Shoba has recently come out with a

devotional song album on Lord Ragavendra titled Gururaja Santhanam. Being an ardent devotee of Sri Ragavendra, this album was released by superstar Rajinikanth at his residence in Poes Garden. Raghava Lawrence received the first copy. The cassette comprises of seven songs selected carefully by Shoba’s Guru Maharajapuram Santhanam and Bhuvana Raj, his grand daughter, has compeered them.
