As in their previous film, Polladhavan,
where the director captured the essence
of North Chennai, it is said that this film
will revolve in and around Madurai. In fact,
the storyline is set in the 1970s. As this
story pertains to a prominent caste prevailing
in that city, sources say that the director
is playing his cards close to his chest.
Moreover, enacting the past is a serious
business, and to do this it requires extreme
research. To bring out the originality of
the 1970s the team is zeroing in on locations
that can bring out the essence of Madurai
city. Let’s hope that the perfection
we saw in Polladhavan is repeated here.
Initially, the film was touted to be christened
Seval. But sources say that this title has
already been booked. Now the team is deciding
on a fresh name.
