Director Selva has given
several hits including Thalaivasal, Naan Avan
Illai and Amaravati, and has directed 24 films
so far. His landmark 25th film will be for
Cinema Kottagai and has been titled Nanga.
The story of Nanga will revolve around
college students. Selva is not new to directing
such films as he had already handled the
subject deftly in Student No. 1 and Thalaivaasal.
Selva will introduce 13 newbies in this
film. They are: Munish (son of Telugu music
director Vasu Rao), Nivas (son of actor
Dayalan), Vinodh (son of production manager
Gurusamy), Vivek (son of Kerala Film Producers’
Council member), Arun (son of production
manager Sasi), Ashwin (son of LMM Productions’
V Swaminathan), Virumandi (son of actor
Periyakaruppu Devar), Sanjay (son of actor
Santhana Bharathi), and Sahir (son of singer
Mano). Sahir will play the villain role
in this film.
The film’s leading ladies are Arasi,
a medical college student, Vishnupriya,
Shivani and Vaidehi. And actress Kasturi
will play an important in Nanga.
The music for this venture is scored by
Bala Bharathi. Editing is by Raghavan Urs,
son of popular editor Suresh Urs. Selva
is in charge of the story, screenplay and
direction too.
