Director Sibi Malayil is known for directing films that have won him national awards as well as for its commercial success. Films including His Highness Abdullah, Kanakkinavu and Askasadoothu have earned him awards and kept the cash registers tingling. Sibi Malayil is into his 25th year in the film industry and would mark this with the bilingual Poialagan. This film will be made in Malayalam and Tamil.

Nishan, Asif Ali, Ritu and Nithya Menon will make their acting debut with this venture. Interestingly, all the other characters to be played in this film are also newbies. Music is by Vidyasagar, camera is by Ajayan Vincent, story and screenplay is by Nadeem and Anand, dialogues are by AR Abhimanyu, stunt by Thyagarajan, and choreography is by Shanthi. The film’s shooting has been completed and will be released in July.
