Raavanan, directed by
Mani Ratnam, will be released on June 18th
and the crew is upbeat about the same. This
film is a trilingual made in Tamil, Hindi
and Telugu. Cheeyan Vikram plays opposing
characters in Tamil and Hindi, which the entire
industry along with his fans is waiting to
watch. During a press meet, Vikram talked
about the film, its making, director Mani
Ratnam, his co-stars and his future plans.
While talking about the story of Raavanan,
Vikram states that the film is not about Mahabharata
or Ramayana as reported in the media but it
is about three people Dev, Ragini and Veera
and the conflicts between them when they are
caught in a forest. He has donned the role
of Veera in Tamil and Dev in Hindi. He adds
that Veera is a complicated but powerful character
who oscillates between the two extremes of
good and evil. Dev is a police officer who
lives by the rules of the book and loves his
wife Ragini a lot. Ragini loves music and
dancing and adores playing with children.
According to Vikram, he is blessed to have
been called by Mani Ratnam to work with him
and that too in two projects. He was also
much appreciative of his co-stars and raved
about Aishwarya Rai’s professionalism.
