The newly elected members of Nadigar
Sangam met the Tamil Nadu chief
minister M Karunanidhi and the deputy
CM MK Stalin yesterday at the party
headquarters Anna Arivalayam. Speaking
to the media persons later, the
president of the Nadigar Sangam
said that the entire team of elected
representatives met the CM to put
forth various demands.
According to Sarath, the CM had
announced a 20-acre land in 1996
to construct houses for underprivileged
actors. The team reminded the CM
of this issue. The wish list also
consisted of a request to consider
including representatives of the
Nadigar Sangam in the recently constituted
committee to reassess the decision
on tax cuts.
