The audio launch of Aayirathil
Oruvan took place on June 14th at
the Centenary Hall in the University
of Madras. The event was a grand
affair which started with the traditional
lighting of the Kuthuvilakku. Latha
Rajinikanth, Lakshmi Sivakumar,
Vijayalakshmi Kasturiraja, Sonia
Selvaraghavan and Jyothi Ravindran
lighted the lamp for an auspicious
beginning.
The audio was brought to the venue
in a palanquin, which was borne
by men about seven feet tall. Noted
actor-director K Bagyaraj released
the audio and it was received by
director Shankar.
As if to dispel reports floated
by the media that Yuvan Shankar
Raja and Selvaraghavan are not in
good terms, the former made it to
the audio launch.
There was literally no dearth for
entertainment with Dhanush, Aiswarya
Dhanush and Andrea crooning to the
music scored by GV Prakash. Later,
GV Prakash teamed up with Andrea
to sing a song. This is Prakash’s
first live show, it is said. Ace
playback singer PB Srinivas was
also on stage to render a number.
Singari Aatam and Kalari fights
enthralled the audience. The Makabo
dance, performed by a troupe from
Nigeria had the audience spell bound.
In all, the audio release has raised
the expectations of the movie buffs.
Let’s wait for AO to hit the
marquee!
