Sarath asks for 2.5 percent of actor’s salary

The South Indian Actor’s Association met for its 55th general body meeting on Sunday, June 8. Present were: President Sarathkumar, secretary Radha Ravi, associate presidents Monorama and Vijayakumar, and other committee members like Sathyaraj and Murali. Many matters were discussed. Some of them were: the building of an acting institute

that can train future actors, statues of MGR, Sivaji, M.R. Radha to be built, a hall named after Sivaji – to be called Sivaji hall- to be constructed, and to celebrate Tamil cinema’s 75th anniversary with great fanfare.

The most important issue was perhaps the one Sarathkumar brought up: of asking all the actor’s to contribute 2.5 percent of their salary towards the association.
