Radhika Sarath Kumar enters election fray

The Tamil Producers’ Council election is scheduled to be held on July 6th. Inside sources say that the present administrators will enter the election fray under a new name “Thayaripalargal Sanga Munnetra Ani.” The Council’s President Rama Narayanan will be opposed by veteran actress and head of Radaan TV, Radhika Sarath Kumar.

The coordinator of Tamil Thiraipada Thayaripalargalin Jananayaga Murpokku Ani, Mr. Keyar, in a press note issued yesterday said that the new party has been created to develop the council and Tamil cinema. Keyar, elected as the Secretary in the 2006 Council elections will once again compete for the same post. The others in the election fray are Radhika Sarath Kumar, S.A. Chandrasekar, Panchu Arunachalam, A.M. Rathnam and Radhakrishnan. The posts for which they will compete and the 21-member office bearers will be decided by the party soon, he said.
