Dasavatharam release delayed?

When the Madras High Court dismissed the petition seeking a ban on Dasavatharam everyone heaved a sigh of relief. But the petitioner has now knocked at the doors of the Supreme Court. Petitioners Swamy Govind Ramanujar and R Bakthavasalam have appealed to the Supreme Court to ban the film and delete all the scenes that could hurt

the sentiments of millions of Vaishanvites. The petitioners also alleged that the film will have strong religious implication as it contained scenes that show the rift between the Saivites and Vaishnavites. It has also been stated in the petition that Dasavatharam will have an adverse impact on society, bringing about law and order problems. Will this new turn of events impinge Dasavatharam’s release?
