Title issue over Sivaji’s film

Remixes, remakes and renaming are the mantra in the film industry nowadays. The new one to join this long list is Deivamagan. Sources have it that a new film with the same title is in the offing. But so far it seems that there has been no formal communication with the producers of the old film to obtain permission. Just in case permission is denied for

using the title, then there is every possibility that the name cannot be used. Speaking of this, the Producers’ Council President Rama Narayanan said that he had already informed producer S. Balaji that prior permission must be obtained to use old titles.
