The Malayalam film Classmates is
being remade in Tamil with the title
Ninaithale Inikkum. The film stars
Prithviraj, Shakthi, Priyamani,
Karthik Kumar, Vishnupriyan and
Bagyaraj among others. This film’s
audio was launched in Chennai amidst
much fanfare. While the audio was
released by Kamal Haasan, it was
received by K Bagyaraj.
Speaking at the function, Kamal
said that people have doubts about
the veracity of remake films but
Ninaithale Inikkum will break all
barriers. The Ulaganayagan said
that while Shakthi is a remake of
his father, director P Vasu, the
film’s director GNR Kumaravelan,
son of director GN Rangarajan, is
a remake of his father. Kamal calls
them a remake because they draw
ideas from their respective fathers.
It is also well known that Prithviraj
is the son of a popular Malayalam
actor couple.
Actor Karthik Kumar mentioned in
his speech that he had watched Kamal’s
Guna several times; Prithviraj said
that Hey Ram was his inspiration
to enter filmdom. Moved by this,
Kamal said that he is happy that
some of his efforts have an impact
on the younger generation.
Vijay Anthony, the music director
of Ninaithale Inikkum, said that
he would meet again on the 100th
day function of the film. Reiterating
it, Kamal said that there is not
an iota of doubt that the film will
go on for a 100-day run. |
