combined Hollywood and Kollywood deftly.
She said she also came away overwhelmed
by the efficiency and expertise of the American
technical crew.
The movie has many firsts to its credit,
such as: The use of a futuristic HD 4k resolution
camera called Red One. Apparently this camera
has only been used in a handful of Hollywood
productions, and is vouched for by directors
such as Peter Jackson and Steven Soderberg
as a camera for the next generation. The
movie has a director’s blog (http://www.arunhere.com/aathemovie/)
and a production video that are being constantly
updated – both are firsts for a Tamil
movie. Another first for a Tamil movie is
that it was rehearsed once entirely before
the actual on location shooting. A top-notch
off-Hollywood technical crew is behind the
camera and postproduction, all of which
will be completed in America itself.
The director promises that this will be
thrilling and emotional with a hair-raising
climax. With this movie, Vaidyanathan’s
ambition is to have Tamil cinema noticed
internationally. Achchamundu will be dubbed
in as many languages as Spanish, French,
German, Creole, Mandarin, Mende / Temne,
Arabic, Bengali, Burmese, Vietnamese, and
Sinhala, and released in 18 different countries.
Karthik Raja scores the music. The movie
promises to be one gripping roller coaster
trip, so strap yourself and get ready for
the ride.
