Nadigar Sangam building construction, which began with much fanfare some months ago, has been stopped. Sources in the tinsel town report that two prominent schools in the area – Padma Seshadri Group of Schools and Vidyodaya School – has come up with a complaint that theatres should not be constructed in the proposed complex as students’ attention and focus would be diverted there.
With several schools in the area, it is not a good idea to construct theatres in complex, the complaint stated. According to the proposed plan, four theatres were to be constructed in the complex.
