While actor Vimal is happy with the success of his two films
Pasanga and Kalavani, his excitement has hit a roadblock as producer
Shanmugavel has lodged a complaint against Vimal in the Producers
Union and FEFSI. Vimal received an advance of Rs. 50,000 for acting
in a movie titled "Kalingathubarani" in November last
year. He had also agreed for a salary of Rs. 6 lakhs for the movie.
Vimal could not complete the movie at that time as he got busy
with the shooting of Kalavani.
Now the producer of Kalingathubarani has complained that Vimal
is demanding Rs. 60 lakhs to act in the already agreed upon movie.
When contacted Vimal clarified that he is not demanding any extra
money and that the allegations are false. He says he is not willing
to act as he does not have any dates for the movie. "I'm
ready to give back the advance", he said signing off. Now
whats the twist in the story, lets wait and see.
