Velayudham
is Jayam Raja's second venture without his brother
Ravi (He earlier directed an Arjun starrer...)
This is Genelia's second time with Vijay, who
was earlier cast opposite him in Sachin.
Although he has distributed Vijay's movies (Kadhalukku
Mariyadhai, Priyamanavale and Pokkiri), this
will be Aascar Ravichandran's first film as
a producer with Vijay.
Hansika's two films in Tamil are in the pipeline
(Maapillai with Dhanush and Ich with Jayam Ravi);
but Velayudham might get the honor of her first
film if it gets released sooner than the others.
Saranya Mohan will work with Vijay for the second
time after her stint with him in Kadhalukku
