The
audio of Vamsam directed by Pandiraj
of Pasanga fame was released yesterday
at Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai amidst much
fanfare with CM of Tamil Nadu attending
the same. Following this a press meet
was organized at Hotel Green Park today.
The lead artists appeared extremely
touched by the film and the opportunity
that was given to them.
When CM’s grandson, hero Arulnidhi
got up to speak, he was visibly moved
and his tear glands started working
overtime. Stuttering and stammering
for the right words, he was an emotionally
charged person and thanked everyone
who gave him the opportunity to work
in the film. Heroine Sunaina also followed
suit and broke into uncontrollable sobs.
Collecting herself she said that she
had withstood lot of trials and tribulations
shooting in forests, rivers and other
unfriendly terrain for the film. When
the press asked her if her director
was harsh on her, she answered in the
negative and said, “Although I
have acted in six films earlier, Vamsam
was the most challenging one”.
She further added that she enjoyed working
with Pandiraj and she had learnt a lot
in the process.
To a question on whether the film is
based on caste based differences, director
Pandiraj said, “Please, do not
coat my film with the color of castes.
I have narrated the story of 10 vamsams
in my film and Malavarayar happens to
be the name of a vamsam” |
