It has always been about the men in the film
industry. But with the current crop of directors,
the heroines have also found a new lease of
life with meaty roles to enact. Let us have
look at two faces that have been preferred
by many for heroine-centric roles in the recent
past.
Anjali made her debut in the movie Katradhu
Tamizh. Her performance was lauded by many
and she even went on to win the Filmfare award
for the Best Debut actress.
She further made a mark with her amazing performance
in Angadi Theru. This was followed by another
role in the novel-based character in Magizchi.
Amala Paul was identified by many for her
performance in Sindhu Samaveli. Though controversial,
this movie shot her to limelight.
Amala Paul's best was yet to come when Myna
happened. Her role in Mynaa is still being
praised by many and will be discussed in the
future as well.
While Anjali will be seen in the upcoming
movie Thoonga Nagaram among others, Amala
Paul is currently acting in Vikram's next
movie tentatively titled Deiva Magan.
Let us cherish these young and brilliant actresses
and hope to see them acting in more women-centric
roles.
